Youth Camp Slides Shows.
One of the primary reasons for Camp Tishomingo's existence is to provide a place for our young people to come apart be exposed to the teaching and preaching of God's Word in an atmosphere of fun and fellowship among like minded young Christians. This page records these events in picture format.
Camp Burton 2009
Camp was great. The young people had a blessed time. Some made decisions for Christ and rededicated their lives to the Lord. Thank you Pastor Terry Green and Bro. David Whitcher for preaching the Word of God. Click here for slide show 1 and slide show 2.
Youth Camp - 2010, at Camp Burton
This year's camp was held at Camp Burton, again. Junior's held their's from
June 21st. through June 25th. Teen camp was from June 28th through July 3rd.
About 28 attended Junior Camp, while 48 attended Teen Camp. Three youngsters
made profession of faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior during Junior
Camp. There was much fun, food, and fellowship at both camps. Evangelist Monte
Leavell preached during both camps. We want to thank all the workers,
counselors, pastors, and parents who made this year's camp a possibility. And,
"Thanks be to GOD, which giveth us the victory through our LORD JESUS CHRIST."

AWANA Trekkers, 2010
First Group of Youth Campers at Camp Tishomingo Property!
On March 18th, 2010 a group of AWANA Trekkers from Victory Baptist Church had a service day at the Camp property. The participants were: Britney Dunn, Courtney Denton, Macie Miller, Dee Dee Schmidt, Adrian Schmidt, Lance Schmidt, Alyssa McKnight, Megan McKnight, Alexis Reeves, Cheyenne Webber & Daniel Webber. The leaders were Pastor Terry Green, Mrs. Linda Wright, Mr. Rick Cornish & Mr. Bob Fish. They stacked lumber, chopped and burned tumbleweeds and swept the Main Program Building and the Maintenance Building. They had soup and sandwiches at the property on the 18th. The group stayed overnight, having a devotion from Pastor Green and a time of worshipful singing around the campfire. The next day after a yummy breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes, they finished burning tumbleweeds just as it started to rain. They quickly loaded up, leaving the camp much cleaner and more organized for the work day on the 20th. See the slide show of these activities.

Teen Camp
I believe it might take an inspired penman to fully describe what our Lord accomplished in the hearts of the young people and workers who gathered for Teen Camp this year. Thirty-nine teenagers were there, and I do not know that any of them returned to their homes unchanged by the Lord; only He would know that for sure. Day by day, God was working individually in hearts; but on Thursday night, it seemed that He wanted to touch everyone simultaneously. So many young people, many through tears, bowed before the Lord as He worked within them. I had personally never witnessed anything like that involving such a large percentage of a group (in church or at camp); it was a blessing to be a part of God’s working. Throughout the week, Pastor Alberto Marquez challenged us to make and keep covenants with God in various areas of our lives. His messages were direct from God’s Word to the heart, and God used them. As you read this brief report of an amazing week, please say a prayer for the teens and workers whose hearts were moved and whose lives were changed. Please watch the Teen Slide Show
