to CAMP TISHOMINGO! Thank you for visiting our site. Tishomingo is a Cherokee Indian word that means "Servant of the King." We are located 40 miles north east of Show Low Arizona, in a 40 acre setting surrounded by gentle slopes that are characteristic of this part of God's creation. |
Camp Tishomingo Baptist Camp exists to provide campers of all ages with the opportunity to make life changing decisions through unique camping experiences and the preaching of God's Word.
We desire to accomplish this in an atmosphere that is natural and
uninterrupted by cell phones, lap-tops, texting devices, and many other
modern electronic components that "were intended" to ease the burden of
daily living.The idea of Camp Tishomingo was conceived by pastors of the Arizona Association of Regular Baptist in 2005. It will be designed to meet ministry needs of all members and friends of our association of churches, particularly the needs of the youth departments in our churches in providing a location for annual camp ministries.
The camp was purchased in 2006, and ground was broken in the same year. Several
buildings have already
been erected. It is
anticipated that the main multipurpose building
will be completed within
the
next 12 - 18 months to be ready for youth camp programs in
2012.
Our ultimate purpose is to edify the
saints and bring glory to the Lord through the use of the land and the facilities the Lord has graciously
given to us. "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do,
do all to the glory of God. I Corinthians 10:31"
