Camp Tishomingo Committee Structure and Responsibilities

Top level responsibility

Camp Tishomingo is one of the ministries of the Arizona Association of Regular Baptist Churches. This group of Baptist Churches exercise overarching oversight, including strategic direction, mission, and purpose of the camp. Camp Tishomingo Committee - 2011 news

This group oversees and directs the property use, building and facility development, financial accountability and fund sourcing, as well as Camp Programs. The annual meeting was held at Calvary B.C. in Mesa, AZ on September 17, 2009. Pastor Tom Petro facilitated the meeting. A thorough review was conducted of all construction aspects. Finances were reviewed.  New camp officers were elected for the next year. Read the minutes.

The elected officers are as follows:

  • Chairman: Pastor Tom Petro, Open Door Baptist Church, Prescott Valley, AZ
  • Director of Programs: Wayne Dale, Faith Baptist Church, Glendale, AZ
  • Vice Chairman: No official nomination
  • Treasurer: Jim Rakoci, Victory Baptist Church, Casa Grande, AZ
  • Director of Property: Phil Wright, Victory Baptist Church, Casa Grande, AZ
  • Secretary: Rick Cornish, Victory Baptist Church, Casa Grande, AZ

This group conducts annual meetings during the third week in September of each year. In addition, they communicate three to four times per year (or as necessary) via con calls to keep the business of the camp on track. Other members from the AARBC churches are involved bringing the total participants to approximately 16.

Building Subcommittee

This group develops specific project plans, recruits labor, acquires materials, and ensures the timely execution and coordination of construction phases. Members of this committee are:
